I'm starting on the raisins & gin remedy today. My directions call for 20 a day for a month and then 9 a day after that. Will let you know how it works.

Barb,

Uncover and put in the fridge. That should solve your problem - even the ants or gnats.

I've had the raisins soaking for about 10 days in a covered plastic container, but the gin hasn't evaporated. How can it when it's covered tight? I was also concerned about ants or gnats getting in there if it's uncovered .

I'm going to try this with my mother. She has bone on bone arthritis in her right shoulder and has too many other health issues to consider shoulder replacement. She's had several cortisone shots without success. She already takes several pain medications, Tramadol, Clonipin, Celebrex and we are know using Voltaren gel. We are ready to give this a try, even if it's just a placebo effect. I'll keep everyone updated as to the success or otherwise. Anyone have success with acupuncture?

I am unsure of the genesis of the number "9," but I am sure it had to do with the arbitrary figure picked by the original cases of success. I don't really think that you have to stick to it as a hard and fast rule. I think the best rule of thumb would be to experiment and see what number works best for you. You can simply use "9" as a starting point for that experiment.

What's with the magic number "9"...how was it derived?...does it vary for size of individual?...does more than 9 nullify the benefits?...does more help more?

I was having good luck with the raisin remedy using cider vinager, so the alcholic husband could use that method with no problem i woould think. I had some vein work done and the doctor asked me if I was on coumadin and I am not, but he said that there was considerable bleeding and I wondered if that had anything to do with taking the raisin remedy. Would appreciate reseach on this. Thank you.

i have done raisins and gin for since the 1990's... i swear by tehm. i can tell a difference if i skip a day... i have damaged nerves in my neck... they made a differnce getting all under control... i finally found "Network Chiropractics" after 2 years and 14 doctors later... that's one to look up!!!... one med had led to another...caused one prob after the next... i finally got smart and realized God created food n herbs long before he created the pharmacist!...here's my question if anyone knows...i was told in the beginning to use ONLY THE CHEAPEST Rock-Gut Gin you could find... that the expensive stuff doesn't work because its too refined and the rawness of cheap gin works better... i've had great success with the cheap stuff... but the websites say Not to use cheap... anyone else heard "use cheap" ??? anyone try both ends of the scale... ???
