Okay. I am all set up. Do I leave the raisins covered or uncovered?

  2. admin

Alan – leave the raisins uncovered.

  3. Alan Caudle

    thank you so much…

I am looking forward to feeling better.

    One more question.

After all the gin is soaked up, and raisins placed in jar, do they need to be refrigerated?

  5. admin

That would be a good idea. The alcohol should make them last a while, but it doesn’t hurt to preserve them more especially if you made a lot of raisins at one time.

Thanks ! I hate it when my wife is right and I am wrong.

I have arthritis in my hands and knees. Get cortisone shots in one hand. I’m a recovering alcholic. Haven’t had a drink in 25 yrs. Any thoughts on the alcohol content of these raisins? Should I be able to eat them?

  9. admin

As always, you will want to consult a doctor before doing anything, but I think that it might be dangerous to get involved with this remedy if you are a recovering alcoholic.

Can I breastfeed while taking GSR??

  11. admin

You should take the normal precautions of drinking alcohol while breastfeeding. As far as I know, it can be done. Just be aware that as long as the alcohol is in your blood, it is also in your milk. Likewise, once the alcohol is out of your blood, it’s also out of your milk.

Don’t believe it – I will be the one running at 63, while you are crawling at 50

  13. Matt

You really think gin and raisins causes one to be crawling at 50?

  14. David

I have had a serious pain in my left heel and alot of hip pain, not sure if it is arthritis, but I started taking the raisins and gin, and believe it or not, I have no more pain. So, I eat 8 raisins everyday and it seems to help and the best part, I have no more pain. David.

I have arthritis, degenerative disc desease and fibromialgia. I have been eating my GSR for over a year now.I cannot say I have NO pain but they REALLY help me be able to function during the day.I cannot take any perscription pain meds due to bad side effects. I’ll never give up my raisins!
