Okay. I am all set up. Do I leave the raisins covered or uncovered?

Alan – leave the raisins uncovered.

    One more question.

After all the gin is soaked up, and raisins placed in jar, do they need to be refrigerated?

  5. admin

That would be a good idea. The alcohol should make them last a while, but it doesn’t hurt to preserve them more especially if you made a lot of raisins at one time.

I have arthritis in my hands and knees. Get cortisone shots in one hand. I’m a recovering alcholic. Haven’t had a drink in 25 yrs. Any thoughts on the alcohol content of these raisins? Should I be able to eat them?

As always, you will want to consult a doctor before doing anything, but I think that it might be dangerous to get involved with this remedy if you are a recovering alcoholic.

Can I breastfeed while taking GSR??

You should take the normal precautions of drinking alcohol while breastfeeding. As far as I know, it can be done. Just be aware that as long as the alcohol is in your blood, it is also in your milk. Likewise, once the alcohol is out of your blood, it’s also out of your milk.
